So I copied it from C:\Windows\System32 to X:\Guild Wars 2\bin64 and that fixed it. I went to the gw2 folder and searched for d3d9.dll which wasn't there. My dx is up to date but I went and reinstalled it anyway which didn't do a damn thing. Here's what I did:Īdded -windowed to the shortcut which resulted in game crashing with a d3d9.dll error. I also tried disabling MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner as the injection sometimes messes up some games but the same thing still happens.Īny suggestions? Can't find any other "fixes" online.Īll the other games work fine and I've got hundreds of them installed, from brand new to older titles.Įdit: I've got no AV and windows defender is disabled. I've tried the -repair shortcut and deleted the local.dat file but no luck. Can't even kill the process through task manager as the game takes focus as soon as I open it so the only thing I can do is reboot. When I start the game all I get is a "blank" screen, I still see my desktop and hear GW2 music and the mouse cursor changes to the GW2 one but that's it. I have just reinstalled the game after a few years and it doesn't work :( Latest patch Dev tracker Official sub Discord Optional description Nightmode Lights on Content Filters
